Bug Description

Sometime in the last couple of weeks my sound stopped working. I assume that this was due to an update as I have not 'fiddled' with this install for a long long time as it has all just been working.

As per the wiki I have run the alsaconf script (URL: http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=305f783f850170d770b04e3317d0751876bd98a1)

If nothing else it would be nice to know if this is a general bug or whether its just me. Thanks.

This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. For future reference you might be interested to know that a lot of applications have bug reporting functionality built in to them. This can be accessed via the Report a Problem option in the Help menu for the application with which you are having an issue.
