Bug Description

Please backport splix 2.0.0~rc2 - Samsung/Xerox printer drivers from Intrepid-updates or Jaunty to 8.04 LTS (hardy). Currently hardy has old splix 1.1 version and there are lots bugfixes and several new printers supported in new 2.0rc2 version. Here is ubuntu changelog since hardy version:

It looks like this bug requests a backport from Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid
Ibex). However, as Intrepid is no longer supported, such a backport is
no longer possible.
