Unpacking replacement libc6-dev ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libc6-dev_2.8~20080505-0ubuntu8_i386.deb (--unpack):
 corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive

Please remove this file and recheck. This is not a glibc specific error.
