With the latest intel/xorg Jaunty kit, I'm getting a lot of hard locks on GM965. I have 2:2.6.1-1ubuntu1 driver and xorg core 2:1.5.99.
There is no output in dmesg or xorg.log

I also have a X61 Tablet, and I don't have these problems. The two differences I can spot is that I use 32-bit (i386) and that I don't have a VGA connected (I have it in the Ultrabase every now and then, though). Have you checked if this problem still occurs if you don't have an external monitor attached?
