Description: Crash on trying to start application googleearth.
Package: GoogleEarth 5 installed from package "googleearth_
Distro: Intrepid 8.10 + updates.
Reproducible: Always (on my configuration).

Suggestion: You should allow this package to download an (at any time) earlier version of googleearth.

There is an easy workaround that might help to better identify the origin of the problem.
If you enter the directory where GoogleEarth got installed and simply eliminate/rename the file libcrypto.so.0.9.8, then it'll work.
I hope it helps. At least until the bug gets resolved :-)
