Bug Description

I want to connect to ubuntu 8.10 box from my mac running leopard 10.5.6. But, whenever I start a gui application using ssh + X11 forwarding, I get the message: Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display "localhost:10.0". Although the applications seems working fine, I guess there might be something wrong happened.

And if I run gnome-session &, there'd be a big ubuntu wall paper on top of the entire screen so I could see nothing else. I don't know if you're supposed to run gnome-session in ssh connection, but I just wanna know if there's anything wrong or any confliction between ubuntu and leopard.
