Bug Description

Hi,

Ubuntu version : Intrepid up to date
passwd package : 4.1.1

When I use the command "passwd" to change my password, I'm not asked to put a new one.
(on the fly translation)

bob@ubuntu % passwd
Changing password for bob.
Current UNIX password : (I put my current password)
passwd : The password has been updated with success (I don't have been asked to put a new one twice)
bob@ubuntu %

This happens for all account on my machine. It is the same with #sudo passwd bob

I have to say that it was working when I firstly installed ubuntu intrepid. I changed nothing to pam's programs or whatever. I'm just doing netboot using ltsp.
I installed ldap but changed nothing to the default configuration

Cheers,

Polytan

Hello,

Are you still experiencing this bug?

Can you provide your /etc/pam.d/passwd and /etc/pam.d/common-password files?

Try re-installing passwd and see if that helps, if not, prolly related to the LTSP setup.
