Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-desktop

Under Jaunty both KDE and GNOME appear to supply desktop magnification software to aid accessibility as part of the base desktop install.

On Thinkpads there is a defined hotkey for this software : fn-space. It would be nice if it was configured by default to launch the relevant application.

This key is correctly mapped in kernel space to KEY_ZOOM, but that keycode is above 255 which means it's not accepted by X input currently. There is an outstanding bug with X upstream about this.

This key should /not/ be handled by hal-addon-input instead of X, because 'zoom' should only be applied to the current session.
