Bug Description

Konqueror offers to save my password for me, but then when I agree it gives a mysterious error message (something like "failed with -9" ?) and suggests that maybe I typed my wallet password wrong. It turns out that the actual problem is that I don't have kwalletmanager installed. konqueror should detect this and not offer to store my passwords for me, or at the very least it should include "Maybe there is no kwalletmanager installed" as a guess about the reason for failure, along with "Maybe you got your password wrong". Or perhaps kwalletmanager package should be a dependency or a recommendation of konqueror package.

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!
