loss of all imap-folders

Correction (Feb. 5,2009): new messages are shown and downloaded in the incoming folder, but all other folders are still missing. I checked the View etc., all seems OK.

Binary package hint: thunderbird

my gmx-imap-mail works perfectly many months, but now sudenly ALL FOLDER ARE LOST. There is only the "Incoming" folder still there, with the old messages, no news. By trying "Subscribe to new Folder", it trys shortly, but don't show any folder.

My google-Imap still works OK.

What happens?? i use ubuntu 8.04, Linux 2.6.24-23, gnome 2.22.3, Mozilla 2.0.0.19 since a few months.

I have the same efect, i have a lot of folders on my gmx mail box,
it work with out problems but some day i see only the folder INBOX, INBOX.Gesendet and INBOX.Trash
but in my case i use the ThunderbirdPortable 2.0.0.21 on e.g. windows XP

Look in "Server Settings", "Advanced" (or similar, I have the German
Version. If "Show only subscribed folders" is activated, deactivate it.
It may solve the problem.

can you check whether thunderbird-3.0 from https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-mozilla-daily/+archive/ppa fixes this issue?

note: tbird 3 will be installed side by side and will copy your profile on first startup so you can have it even running side by side. so good for testing. the app is called "Shredder" in the Applications -> Internet menu
