Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

am running Ubuntu and have a problem with firefox. first it dropped my bookmarks; could not restore from backedup??
then deleted passwords (sa firefox is the password keeper); unable to get into 'evolution' had to reset passwords; but deleted all saved e-mails and contact list while doing so.
attempted to query mozilla about situation, could not find anything.
so, deleted firefox, first by apt-get remove, secomd by snaptic package manager (marked all firefox packages for deletion); ran snaptic.
then reloaded firefox via apt-get install..........
but still can not get the thing to remember bookmarks???
will send this same message to ubuntu forums if we ever get to see them again. get weird sites when i try their url.
was from latest upgrade of firefox from ubuntu, 3.0.4 + whatever (i think)
any help would be appreciated..... thanks, len tyree.

Finally all OK. Got things loaded properly, I guess, and everything
seems to be working fine. Part (if not al) of problem was with my ISP.

Thanks for the help, Len Tyree.
