doesn't seem to list all packages or save downloaded package lists.

Binary package hint: synaptic

Whenever I hit reload the package manager downloads the same 55 files and doesn't seem to update the package list. I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 and synaptic 0.62.1.
