Bug Description
After installing KDE 4.2 on Kubuntu 8.10 applications that use phonon as audio backend started to crash. But not shortly after the install, instead this problem just occured yesterday. The strange thing is applications that communicate in an other way with the sondchip like firefox, songbird, vlc are not affected. However this is true only for my profile. A clean, new profile created to run kde without legacy stuff plays no audio at all.
There is a crash report attached from the dragon player
Versions:
Kubuntu 8.10
KDE 4.2
phonon: 4:4.3.0-
