Kopete uses wrong language for spell checking in second chat tab

Bug Description
Binary package hint: kopete
I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 and Kopete 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu2.
I set the system language to German in kcontrol. Kopete checks for german spelling only in the first tab. If a second chat tab is opened, Kopete checks for english spelling instead of german.
If the second chat is detached into a seperate window, german spell checking works again but only until it's attached again.
