Bug Description

Hello,
My name is Michael, and I've got this annoying little bug, that which I'm having problems finding the solution to.
I'm running Ubuntu 8.04.2. I've found a couple problems related to mine, but none of them really fit the situation well.
What happens is that if I have my USB Keyboard and/or Mouse plugged in, then my system will randomly hang or freeze, sometimes it recovers, others not. When going through my System Logs, under messages, I found that this error shows up:
[ 434.367036] wifi0: rx FIFO overrun; resetting
I found a bug ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/+source/linux-restricted-modules/+bug/276445 ) that is very similar, but I don't meet all the symptoms or affects. Even if I disable my wireless, not connect to the internet or even boot off the live CD, this problem persists if I have my USB Keyboard or Mouse. It doesn't appear to happen with my cooling fan plugged in (I run Ubuntu on a laptop), so I suspect it's a problem with the keyboard and mouse specifically. If I'm not connected to the internet I do not receive the "wifi0: rx FIFO overrun; resetting" error, but I still freeze up, which is very odd.

When running in 8.10, I had the same problem, just in case that helps at all.
If you need any more information, please let me know. Thanks.
