Brasero Project options dont all have a properties selection button or similar
Brasero opens with 5 Project Option buttons presented -
a) Audio Project
b) Data Project
c) Video Project
d) Disc Copy
e) Burn Image
The properties for d and e are applied to a, b, and c, without clear indication that is how braseros dialogues operate.
This is particularly a problem in relation to the temp files location property.
That way of operating is counter-intuitive, and leads to problems for people with small separate /tmp partition if they go straight to a, b, or c.
After selecting the Project options for Audio, Data, or Video, the dialogue which is presented lacks a properties selection button or similar. This leads to the problems described in bug report
https:/
(see notes listed with item # 1 in that report).
However, the the copy disc option does have a properties button (which includes Temporary file location) on the dialogue (which can be enabled if you put an empty disc in the drive, even though the temp file location property isnt specific to the destination selected - note that it should really be a separate property or option, perhaps on a menu or elsewhere).
I expect either a separate properties menu or option available at the main menu initially presented which applies to all the 5 project options (listed above labelled a to e) or the properties button or menu option be available for a, b, and c, as well as d and e. The properties button including temp file location is only available from d and e, and that properties setting applies to the other options without any clear indication or documentation explaining that this is the case.
Since this leads to a problem using the application, this is a defect.
If the properties-
The best solution would be to have the temp file location as part of a separate menu in the main application and each of the subsidiary project dialogues. That would avoid this problem, and also other problems I have seen as part of other brasero bug reports where the properties button for the destination is disabled due to not having the right disc in the drive.
I have ubuntu intrepid installed.
brasero 0.8.4 on ubuntu intrepid 8.10 with kernal updated to 2.6.27-9-generic
This bug applied to brasero 0.8.2 and I have since loaded 0.8.4 and it has the same weakness.

got the same behavior with brasero version in jaunty ? if so that's something to send directly upstream to bugzilla.gnome.org by someone interested on the issue.
