Bug Description
This happened while I was updating my system after the GRUB menu.lst wizard. I tried the 3 way experimental merge - not sure if this is what crashed. I've done it before without problems.
I also deleted an old kernel while the update was happening because I wanted to make sure I had room on my /boot partition. I don't think this should cause a problem.
