I have just installed Xubuntu on my Thinkpad T40 laptop via WUBI on a dedicated FAT32 partition. When I start the automatic update the process stops halfway with the following error message (in Italian): "E: /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic_2.6.27-7.16_i386.deb: impossibile creare il link per la copia di sicurezza di `./boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27-7-generic' prima di installarne la nuova versione".

I have reported the bug twice: the first time immediately when the error happened, and then again via the 'ubuntu-bug -p linux' command in the terminal.
