Bug Description

Suspend is fine.
Hibernate on 2.6.28-6-generic (32bit) results in a kernel panic. I don't think it happens with -5-generic, and it definitely works fine in Hardy.

Hi Mackenzie,

Would you be able to capture the kernel panic you see and attach it here? Even if you have to take a digital photo that would be great.

Did you see an actual panic, or just see the crash icon saying "a crash was detected"? Did the machine break while going to sleep, or while coming back from sleep? Is this reproducible say over 10 cycles. Has suspend/hibernate ever worked in the past, if so which kernel release (cat /proc/version_signature)? Please include any information as to the circumstances leading up to this failure, for example did your battery run out?

I saw the stack trace it spit out to the TTY.
It was while hibernating, not resuming.
Suspend and hibernate have always worked. I've had the laptop since
Hardy.
Both times I've hibernated it happened. I've thus avoided hibernate.
One time the battery ran out and it auto-hibernated. The other time I
chose to hibernate.

I found my camera & charger, so I'll force it and take a picture.

Had this problem with -6-generic, but can no longer reproduce on -7-generic,
so marking Fix Released.
