Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-properties-gtk

The Software Properties fails silently while trying to add a new repository key that happens to be invalid.
The key I tryed adding was
http://ppa.launchpad.net/do-testers/ubuntu/dists/intrepid/Release.gpg

apt-key add return "No valid pgp information found" for that file, but, software-properties-gtk just doesn't add the key, without any error message.

Confirmed, on the command line the output is: gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found. but there's no indication on the UI that the key is not valid, mvo may you have a look to it? Thanks in advance.

The release this bug has been reported from has reached EOL. I have tried reproducing on Oneiric, and I get an error dialog complaining about invalid GPG key, so I guess this has been fixed. Could you please try on a supported version of Ubuntu, and see if it's still a problem for you? See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases for more information about Supported releases and EOL releases.
