Kubuntu Upgrade To Jaunty No Documentation

Bug Description

Well it's not a package, it's the websites, the only reference seems to be the ubuntu.com one:

http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/jaunty/alpha3

With "update-manager -d" which is not correct for KDE as this pulls in 56 Gnome libs/deps. I can't find it (Perhaps down to poor Google skills) on the kubuntu.org site. The only referance is on the kubuntuguide.org site, but that again is incorrect as it's saying to use

kdesu "adept-manager --dist-upgrade-devel"

Adept has changed and there is no suck p[ackage, and adept itself only takes the installer or upgrade commands.

Thanks,

Félim

Currently you are correct there are no documents on how to upgrade from Intrepid to Jaunty. This will be taken care of during the updating of the release notes. If you would like to help fix this bug, the Ubuntu Documentation team would love to have you help out with the Kubuntu Docs.
Also the closer we get to release this bug will be solved.

Somehow I missed adding this bug to the Debian changelog and it didn't get closed upon upload yesterday. This has been fixed. The documentation was always there, just not in the right place due to a recent change that moved them from /usr/share/doc/kde4 to /usr/share/doc/kde instead. Because of this, the help KIO was looking in the right place, but the kubuntu-docs package was from 8.10 at that time still and was not in the location where KIO was looking, or KHelpCenter.
