better full-screen support

Here is some feedback from Mike and research librarians:

There was great excitement about the possibility of being able to view book images in "full-screen" mode to better see things. There are a number of strategies for at least moving in this direction:
make it possible to move critical header/footer information to the side of the viewing area instead of having these cut off the bottom and top of the image;
make it possible to magnify the image to a point where top and bottom page margins are off-screen;
open a separate browser window without the full complement of window decorations.
