Bug Description
Binary package hint: kdebase
On Kubuntu 9.04 64-bit, PowerDevil does not perform the proper actions if the power state of the computer changed between suspend and resume. For example, if I suspend my computer while on AC power, and then resume on battery power, the display brightness remains at the AC level and the powersaving mode is not changed. The same would happen if I suspended on battery and resumed on AC, but it would remain stuck in low-power mode unless I manually changed it.

Now, I have discovered that this is not directly a bug, but instead a subset of another bug I have filed.
