Bug Description

The system would crash every once in a while with the caps-lock led blinking. Needs a power off - power on to recover from it. It produces an error about general protection fault: 0000 [1] SMP CPU 0 and a backtrace in the kern.log. I've attached the kern.log. This is on Ubuntu 8.10 64bit fully updated:
uname -r:
2.6.27-11-generic

Let me know if you need anything else to fix this.

I have moved to gentoo on my laptop since I reported the problem so I cannot run this command. I haven't experienced this problem with the newer kernels - I'm using 2.6.32 now and never seen this problem here.
