Thank you for your bug report. From your log, I see this message:

(brasero:28786): BraseroBurn-DEBUG: At burn-session.c:780: Impossible to create tmp file

I'm not sure exactly what would trigger this, but have you got enough space on /tmp? What is the output of "df -h"?

It's only a matter of time before the developers post this to even more Brasero bugs ..

Response in the upstream bug:

"Hi, thanks for the report.

The problem here is not the size of the volume the user wants to store his tmp
files on.

The problem is listed at the end of the log:
"No such file or directory" which seems to suggest that the folder supposed to
hold all his temp files doesn't exist.

So I'd suggest the user to change that folder to see if it helps. It defaults
to "/tmp" (and I guess the user must have one on his system). (if the user
didn't change it and left it to default) I also would like to know what it
defaults to.
To do that he has to click on the "Properties" button next to the medium
selection widget in burn option dialog."

Could you please check this?

Could you also run "gconftool-2 -R /apps/brasero > brasero-gconf.log" and attach the file "brasero-gconf.log" to this bug report.

Thanks

I fixed problem unsetting /apps/brasero and reinstalling brasero. Now brasero burns. Thanks for corporation!
(so i attach brasero-gconf.log)

Glad to be of any help. Just a question though:
did you set media/LOG as the temp file on purpose?
Also when you unset that gconf key, did you use the brasero interface? or gconf-editor? (It seems that the key wasn't actually changed after all since I found media/LOG in your gconf log)

i set /media/BOX as tmp because i was burning iso file (4 giga) and i had 3 giga free on /tmp folder (default). Then i unset gconf key with gconf-editor. I think there is problem between brasero and gconf key: exactly, brasero doesn't update/change key value when user try to set different folder as tmp folder or/and user try to restore /tmp as tmp folder.

I confirm omega's conclusion: there is a problem with blasero and gconf key.

Pedro,

Having read the upstream bug, I think that they incorrectly closed it. I believe that my Bug 356350 is a duplicate of this one. Brasero is, in fact, broken.

You will notice from the attached "brasero-settings.png" that the temporary space is set to "shared", which is writable by me and has plenty of space. However, as you can see from the attached gconf dump, the setting used by brasero is:

 tmpdir = /home/noel/shared/temp

and that directory does not exist. Nor is it the directory I selected. This is probably why it worked when he deleted apps/brasero.

Sure enough, as soon as I created shared/temp, Brasero displayed temp, not shared, in the properties path, and started to work again.

So, yes, confirming that there is a bug to be fixed.
