Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-control-
Feature Request:
The Gnome panel applet that is turned on by the "Monitor Resolution Settings" dialog should allow the user to switch screen resolutions directly from its drop-down menu.
Presently, it allows for choosing monitor Rotation and flipping for internal and external monitors. I would argue that these choices are of a lower priority than changing which screens are actually set to be on and at what resolution(s).
I use a laptop with support for external VGA. I often plug prefer to plug my laptop into external monitors.
