Bug Description

How to reproduce:
1- Install Ubuntu 8.10 - Intrepid Ibex on a motherboard with intel hda onboard sound.
2- Add a PCI sound blaster live sound card on the PC.
3- Go to the sound setting and set it to use the alsa - sound blaster live sound card.
4- Try to play a sound under Totem and it will play it just fine.
5- Try to play a sound under VLC or any game (alien-arena, whatever). And you get no sound.
6 - Plug the speaker on the onboadr sound and you will be able to play sounds under VLC and games (wrong!). But totem gets no sound.

To "fix" that I had to blacklist the intel hda sound module. Now sound blaster live is working fine.

Im using Ubuntu 8.10 - Intrepid Ibex
