Thank you for your bug report. It works fine for me. Are you just using the standard gnome-panel and notification area there? What icon theme do you use? What are the other icons to the left of the bluetooth applet?

Thanks

Hello. I am using awesometray, part of the awesome window manager (http://awesome.naquadah.org/). Mist icon theme.

Regarding awesome tray, they claim they use this specification http://standards.freedesktop.org/systemtray-spec/systemtray-spec-latest.html.

Some how, I got the error to go away:

 1. Awesome is on. Now we have a gap to the left of the bluetooth icon.
 2. I run "gnome-panel" in awesome WM
 3. The gap goes away in the awesometray.

Icons to the left were nm-applet and tomboy. We also have "Truecrypt" icon. Perhaps that old, non-transparent icon can be the culprit, I'll get back on that.

Chris Coulson, unless I find a way to isolate some logs we may be tempted to blame this on awesometray (therefore closing this bug). However, if you could look over the code for your applet and compare it to parcellite, tomboy, nm-applet...

Invalid bug because it appears to be an issue with awesome's tray manager and gnome-panel. If I hear anything otherwise you will be notified.

Ctrl + Modkey + R removes the space, gap, whatever you call it.
