Bug Description

Kubuntu Jaunty Jackalope alpha 3.
Laptop Lenovo Thinkpad R61i.
Clean install, the home directory used for Intrepid was kept in a separate partition and thus was preserved.
After the upgrade the power management applet in KDE does not load on startup (and it is not clear how to start in manually).

This was fixed in a recent version of kubuntu-default-settings. For now you can manually add the battery widget to the panel from the add widgets dialog.
