gnome volume control is missing switches

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-media

Jaunty seems to have a new version of gnome-volume-control, which has a new GUI. The new GUI has no way of accessing, or enabling access to whatever various switches your sound card has. I had to install gnome-alsamixer so I could change a switch and get my sound working in jaunty. (The switch should be disabled by default for this sound card, this seems to be new with jaunty.)

This looks similar to bug #320752 (gnome-volume-control is missing sliders for PCM etc with ICH8 chipset) - maybe they should be merged?

On my gnome-volume-control, I can't access the switches for things like 'Mic as Output', 'Digital Input Source' = 'Digital Mic 1' vs 'Analog Mic', IEC958, etc. These still appear in alsamixer, they just no longer appear in gnome-volume-control. In the old volume control you could select via Preferences which ones appeared in the 'switches' tab.

This is with gnome-media 2.25.5-0ubuntu1.
