Bug Description

I recently installed the latest alpha of jaunty. Everything seems to work fine except for the wireless card and rfkillswitch. This is a regression with respect to 8.10. As I own an Asus eeepc 701 4G I used to have a script sending 1 or 0 to /sys/devices/platform/eeepc/wlan to respectively turn my wireless card on or off. In jaunty this interface doesn't exist.

Is there any other interface that replaces it?

Using the same script but for
/sys/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/device:00/ASUS010\:00/rfkill/rfkill0/state
brings the card down but it is useless on up. Only a reboot brings the card up again.

Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release: 9.04

This happens using both the ath5k driver (which works otherwise fine for me) and the ath_hal driver (never managed to make it work).

wlan has gone away and it is now done by rfkill. On my EeePC 900 I have:
/sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0
with a 2.6.28 kernel. Further there are patches that tie wifi toggling directly to that shortcut without bouncing through ACPI (see Bug #232170).
