There isn't much information on the exact symptoms but resume from suspend doesn't work on my Intel laptop either, Studio 15 with Intel Penryn proc.
Linux test 2.6.28-5-generic #15-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 22 21:21:04 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

In my case, lifting the lid will not bring up the password prompt until CTRL-ALT-F1 or CTRL-ALT-F7 are pressed. At that point, entering the correct password (confirmed correct and no CAPS-LOCK) consistently returns a failed password.

Clicking on Change User only results in a blank screen with the mouse pointer.

Pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL or CTRL-ALT-Backspace does nothing. The computer has to be forced off and back on.

kingttx, it may be better if you would open a new report for now as you seem to have different hardware than the original reporter. Even though you may be experiencing the same symptom as the original reporter, it really is hardware specific so should be a separate bug. Thanks.

Is this reproducible say over 10 cycles. Has suspend/hibernate ever worked in the past, if so which kernel release (cat /proc/version_signature)? Please include any information as to the circumstances leading up to this failure, for example did your battery run out?

If this is reproducible it is worth trying the moving to VT-1, press ctrl-alt-F1, login, and run pm-suspend. This may give us more information.

Please try latest Jaunty release and update this bug tracker, otherwise we will fail to have enough information to fix this issue.
