Bug Description
when booting from a live USB version of ubuntu 8.10 with created using usb-creator it hangs for approx 60 seconds after NET: Registered protocol family 17 (Shown in dmesg). This is the "Configuring Network Interfaces" Step when splash and quiet boot are turned off.
I am using a Core Duo, Dell XPS M1330 with 8.10 installed, kernel version is 2.6.27-9-generic.
I have attached the dmesg log below, any help will be appreciated, I am trying to get ubuntu 8.10 to boot off usb as fast as possible.
