Thunderbird PST import didn't work -> PST files can't be selected

plug-in "readpst" & "readpst-dev" are installed on my ubuntu system.
when I want to import my windows MS outlook 2003 pst file into my thunderbird IMAP account I've faced following problem;
- I can selct import outlook PST
- I can't choose the PST file in the folder, because all listed files are not selectable (grey)
- PST import couldn't be performed sucessfully.

please help me on this case.
I'll need my outlook pst files.
I use the UBUNTU & Thunderbird for business, and have a pst file of about 6GB (archive.pst)
this file is essential for my success in my business.... and I realy don't want to use Windows as operation system again or in a viritual boxunder linux (ubuntu)!!!

Please dont bump bugs.
This needs to be found upstream. im fairly sure its there. please look for it and post the link to it here so we can take a look at it and track it.

This is not a bug but it is a feature atm. thunderbird 2.0 will not recieve this update. Thi sis a wishlist bug that upstream needs to add this function.

For whoever wishes to tinker with this, Microsoft has just released open sourced PST manipulation tools, which presumably will enable Thunderbird/Evolution/etc to implement improved PST fupport shortly:
