Bug Description
while booting my installed Ubuntu 8.10 x 64 Desktop edition. I get this error message some times.
Starting up ...

Gave up waiting for root device. Commom problems:
- Boot args (cat /proc/cmline)
- Check rootdelay= (did the system wait long enough?)
- Check root= (did the system wait for the right device?)
- Missing modules (cat /proc/modules; ls /dev)
