Bug Description

All machine functions seem to have slowed to a crawl since I ran the last update installation. As I do this manually it's a fairly long time between update installations. I recall there were 95 updates installed in the last batch. The machine is used as a file server running samba and the access times are driving everyone nuts. The slowdown is system wide not just network file acess. Starting an application takes a long time also.

This sounds like some troubleshooting needs to be done. Have you looked at your processes list to see if there is something taking up your resources.
