Bug Description

When trying to save screenshots (Fn-PrtScn) to a directory with no write permission, there is no error box/message. The situation is silently ignored, which lets the user think the screenshot would have been saved correctly.

I tried this with the Dapper Flight 4 Live-CD.

Still present in up-to-date gutsy, what is the proper way to handle this?
There is a patch for the upstream bug that seems to be left unnoticed. On the other hand a more useful solution would be to ask the user if she wants to save as the shot if the first attempt fails (which is not done by the suggested patch).

You can maybe try to add a comment upstream asking if a maintainer could look to the patch and commit it
