Have you installed the gnome-do-plugins package?

i had installed them before update and they work well. now i removed package gnome do and gnome do plugins package with config file and reinstall them but it didn't help. I've notice that in synatpic there is 0.7.98 version of gnome do and 0.6.0.1 version of gnome do plugins package

i've looked on ~/.local/gnome-do/ folder where i've found folder with plugins for 0.7.98.1 version. and inside this folder there is an addins.setup.config xml file. I'm not sure but xml should have closed all markups. buy there are some closeing markups without opening like

<DisabledAddins/>
<AddinPaths/>

maybe this is the reason. by now i hevent change any of this files

I've had the same problem.
The gnome-do "preferences" screen was gray. And Gnome-do would even hang on startup.

In gconf-editor at Apps/Gnome-do I found that there was a new formatting for settings and the old settings weren't deleted/copied well.
I then deleted the /home/username/.gconf/apps/gnome-do folder, killed all gnome-do instance and started gnome-do again.
Now all works fine :-)

The new update 0.7.99 indeed works "out of the box"
But there are still two instances of the "quietstart" checkbox at gconf/apps/gnome-do.
One in gnome-do > core-preferences
and one in gnome-do > Do > corepreferences

I don't know if this is needed :-)

Make sure you remove any previous install before re-installing gnome-do 0.8,
 then install gnome-do with plugins. if you decide to install "gnome-do-plugins", then don't
install "gnome-do-plugin-rhythmbox" it will replace the "gnome-do-plugins" package... but you can install
the "gnome-do-plugin-amarok" package and others.
