Bug Description

I'm running Intrepid, and I get periodic screen artifacts. See attachment. Note: I experience this on the desktop as a whole, not just in the SQLite tool shown in the attachment. It appears to happen with any application, and no clear re-creation steps.

Kernel: 2.6.27-10-server
Ubuntu Version: Intrepid
Video Card: NVidia (not sure how to find model?)

Upon changing Window Managers from metacity to xfwm4, it seems like the issue goes away. This leads me to (naively) think it is metacity?

Thanks for the report, which application are you using for reproduce that behavior? Which video card and driver do you have? Could you try to same as well with compiz enabled? thanks.
