Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Jan 20 14:31:09 ******** kernel: [489341.518306] firefox[17635]: segfault at 7fdf54480f08 ip 00007fdf7df0aa5a sp 00000000463f1bf0 error 4 in libpthread-2.8.90.so[7fdf7df02000+17000]

I've been experiencing random crashes occasionally in Firefox 3.0x. Sometimes it happens when idle, other times when pulling up a webpage. Checking syslog reports the segfault above.

Ubuntu 8.10
Firefox 3.05 (Came installed in Ubuntu 8.10 and updated through update Manager. Presently 3.05)

I've followed the instructions at the link provided to install firefox-3.0-dbgsym=3.0.5+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1

Unfortunately, this crash happens randomly, sometimes every few hours or days. It will take awhile before I am able to catch it with the debugger running.
