Bug Description

Ubuntu Januty Alpha 3 Desktop i386

Asus A6Ja laptop. (intel chipset)

When I booted the system from the live CD, the wireless applet appeared on the task bar, and allowed me to easily connect my WiFi router.

I installed Ubuntu into a spare partition, when I rebooted, Wireless also worked. I then started the update manager. It updated about 60 packages. After the reboot the WiFi applet disappeared, and I could not get it to re-appear.

Is there a log file somewhere that I can look at to get a list of what the update replaced?
