Bug Description
Let say we have two layers A and B. Layer B is above A. There are two objects C and D. C belongs to A and D belongs to B. A and B are both unlocked. The active layer is layer A and object C is selected. Let say we then use the dedicated menu command to move the object C to the upper layer B. The layer B becomes the active one. In this context, making layer A the active layer and then clicking on the remove button, makes all others layers hidden except layer B and in layer B, object C becomes hidden too and only object D is still visible. Undo commands cannot restore anything.

Hi,
I can't reproduce this bug on Vista, Inkscape 0.46 and 0.47 (final).
Could you please confirm you still have this bug with the stable 0.47 version?
Thanks.
