Bug Description
When booting with ZTE UMTS modem (USB stick) plugged in, Network monitor sees the device, but does not configure correctly to allow the device to be used.
Workaround:
sudo -i
echo "ATZ^M" >/dev/ttyUSB2
echo "AT+CPIN=0000" > /dev/ttyUSB2
echo "AT+CPIN=0000^M" > /dev/ttyUSB2
then re-connect via the normal way with network manager applet.
It doesn't work when I try to configure the modem password via the applet.
Using Ubuntu 08.10
Otherwise modem works fine (except must be plugged in at boot to be recognised).

Under Ubuntu 9.10 it works (after you go through the settings wizard), however you must plug it in before you boot the machine and only if you have not configured the MF628 device with a PIN (password).
