Bug Description

lenovo y500
when doing Ctrl + () sometimes the keyboard stops working except for Ctrl + Alt + Bspc to logout.
Double clicks stop opening files or folders.
Clicking an option on the panel doesn't work.
Everything is back to normal after i logout an login back.
Also when I boot sometimes the keyboard and mouse don't work at all except the power button (set to shutdown the system).
It must be known that to start ubuntu i must add 'i8042.reset' to the kernel line in the menu.lst

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!
