ati radeon M6 LY dri needs driver reload to work

Bug Description

ATI MOBILITY M6 LY (found in many laptops, here a sony vaio) is a radeon 7000 serie, but is incorrectly reported as radeon 9000.

DRI does not work on first launch. It needs the drm and radeon modules to be removed (rmmod) and reloaded to work.

This thread describes the problem in details and provides a script to fix it (an init script that starts before gdm is launched. It removes and reloads the modules):
