[ubuntu 8.04] On finishing one trac/video the player jumps randomly all over to different positions (using 100% cpu) instead playing

After playing one movie, the player starts to play it again (or advances to next position in play list)

but it does not play the 2nd movie, instead it starts to jump all over it (in example to position 30% then 70% then 60% then 80% of the movie length) using 100% of cpu core.

If there is more then 1 movie in playlist, then sometimes it jumps to random position in the 2nd movie and plays normally from there.

Since VLC also fails in similar way, it would be really nice to fix at least one player...
