Bug Description
I have standard Hardy 8.04.1 instalation (kernel: 2.6.24-19) on Intel D945GCLF2 mobo with 2GB RAM, 250 GB SATA Seagate.
Everything is fine, until I plug ATI HD2400Pro PCI into a PCI slot.
After that, on boot, i have a wonderfull segmentation fault and after few seconds restart, and again .....
I tested live cd distro, hardy 32bit and 64bit, Interpid 8.10 32bit and 64bit, a XBCM Live CD distro... same efect, segfault.
I cannot investigate a bug, because text mode doesn't run :(
With PCI card unplugged everything work perfectly.
Small update: on console i have this:
[50.690696] Call Trace:

after pressing 3 times ctr+alt+delete system rebooting.
I have the same motherboard and am experiencing a similar issue. I can boot perfectly fine until I put an 8400GS then during boot it displays errors for a second then reboots. I have used Ubuntu 8.04 through 9.10, 32 and 64 bit, live CDs with none making it to a desktop. The closest it gets where it says "initramfs" as the prompt and that was on 32 bit 9.10.
Here is what I can make out from the picture I got before it rebooted itself on 9.10 64 bit. There is more to the left but that was cut off in the picture.
