Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-
Using Ubuntu 8.10.
network-
For me to reproduce:
1) Right click wireless connection icon in system tray.
2) Click "Edit Connections"
3) Go to wireless tab
4) Select my connection
5) Click edit
At this point the program hangs and needs to be forcefully closed.
Problem occurs sometimes, not always.
The connection is set up with WEP security, but the rest of the settings are the defaults.

I am not sure , what cause it but with my b43 drivers in ubuntu 9.04 , I got a message about b43 not wanting to load wireless info etc , so I could not connect, then I fix my problem by using remastersys program, and making a dist iso file with the remastersys backup program , installed it into a 4GB usb drive using create a usb startup disk option , and reboot into it and reinstalled it seemed it fix the b43 driver not wanting to load with it before this was done it seemed to fix the wireless problem I was having with network- manager- gnome app,
I don't know if that might fix your problem too maybe?
