Bug Description

Binary package hint: mythtv

The supported method of running jobs on other machines that do not have tuners is to run mythjobqueue.

The binaries to run mythjobqueue are in the backend package, but there isn't a "mythbuntu supported method" to run just the job queue without running the backend. Currently one has to disable the backend from starting and start mythjobqueue manually or add some other method of starting it.

Moving from new since description seems complete enough.

Thank you for helping to improve Mythbuntu by opening this ticket. Unfortunately the Mythbuntu team does not foresee a time when they will be able to tackle this issue, so I am closing this ticket. With that being said, if someone else wants to write a patch for this, we will be happy to help push it upstream. Please do not let that action deter you from opening tickets on other issues that you find!
