amarok lirc lyrics script crashes when retreiving lyrics

When I launch amarok on my kubuntu 8.04, the lyrics script "lirc" crashes as it tries to retreive the lyrics of any song:

    Wouldn't it be nice if an error message could be displayed in
    such cases ?
    Is there a pool of servers that could be used (such as for ntp) ?

Doesn't qualify for stable release update either way, since the behaviour it technically correct, it's just not very nice and certainly not very understandable.
